5 months after creating Magic Cleaning Solutions, we started trading from our premises in Fowlswick Business Park near Chippenham. We hired a van for our deliveries and worked hard throughout the lovely Summer. The hard work paid off, when only 6 months later we were able to expand our HQ and take on a small office in the old stables on the business park. We even have our own pet bat called Trevor! We celebrated a successful 2018 at a lovely Christmas lunch with our fellow business owners and staff on the Business Park.
In February 2019 we took ownership of our first van, complete with our bright Magic logo. Another van joined our fleet shortly after in the May of that same year.
Another big milestone came in September 2019 when we recruited our first employee, who we’ve all come to know as our lovely Warehouse Driver, Rae. Which meant an extra seat at the table was needed for the Business Parks Christmas lunch that year!
January to March in 2020 saw good solid business growth for us. Suddenly, COVID-19 hit and the world had to learn how to operate in different ways for the majority of 2020. This brought many challenges for our business due to the sheer demand but short supply on PPE, sanitisers and other hygiene products. We held our nerve and were able to source and deliver to our customers.
In August 2020, amidst the craziness of the pandemic, we expanded our HQ at Fowlswick once again. This time our new offices are based in what were the old cow sheds! Our light and airy offices now have the extra facility of our training academy on site.
Having lots of time working from home to put extra things in motion, we spent September through to December creating our product and services catalogue which we are so very proud of (you can find the PDF version right here on our website – just click the Products tab!). And whilst we couldn’t complete the year with our annual Christmas lunch, we still found the time for the 3 of us to sit down and have a lunch from the chippy, yum.
Fast forward to now. With the virus peaking in January and lockdown 3 in situ, we were only able to service our clients that were operating on a limited capacity. We have liaised with all of our customers to ensure them that we were there for them, as we always will be. We are one of the fortunate companies to have been operating throughout this uncertain time and will never take our business for granted. With the advent of the new vaccines and the rollout, has meant there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are raring to go again, and can’t wait to see what the future brings for Magic.
